Support to an integrated care board primary care team
An integrated care board (ICB) primary care team had requested hands on capacity to provide guidance and subject matter expertise to the team, support to identify development needs, update priorities and risk registers as well as standard procedures. The support was required following ICB restructuring leading to loss of expertise within the team.


Business case development for GP surgery relocation
The practice required support to develop a robust business case for the relocation of its services from existing premises to a new purpose-built healthcare facility. The business case was needed within a very challenging timeframe to support key decision-making and funding approval processes.
Facilitation of a board meeting
PCC recently facilitated a board meeting for a community services provider to help them manage change and continue successful working relationships with the commissioner through the organisational restructure.

Pharmaceutical needs assessments
PCC were commissioned to deliver seven Pharmaceutical Needs Assessments (PNAs) in England and four PNAs in Wales between 2024 and 2006. These were delivered through a co productive, partnership-led approach with engagement with the Health and Wellbeing Boards in England Health Boards in Wales, public health teams, commissioners, community pharmacy representatives, and the public.
Business case development
PCC provided end to end support to GP practices and system partners in the development of two business cases for premises developments, using a structured, partnership-led and co productive approach. This involved working closely with GP practices, primary care networks (PCNs), commissioners, estates teams, and wider system stakeholders to facilitate shared understanding of need, capacity pressures, and future service models.
Premises utilisation studies
PCC undertook a detailed utilisation study across two GP practices, working in close partnership with the practice management teams, the integrated care board, estates leads and frontline staff to ensure a co‑productive and evidence-led approach. Through facilitated workshops, site visits, data collection, and validation sessions, PCC supported stakeholders to jointly understand how space was currently used, identify inefficiencies, and model future requirements aligned to service demand and workforce expansion.
Leadership development for single practice PCN board
The contract was to provide support to a fast growing management/leadership team as the partnership team of a large GP practice became the board of a newly formed single practice primary care network (PCN). The team of 12 included clinical and non-clinical leaders. The programme of support was designed to increase self-awareness, self-confidence and confidence as a leadership group.
Leadership development programme for cluster leads in Wales
The contract was for the provision of a leadership development programme for cluster leads in Wales. The cohorts were made up of GPs, commissioning managers, dentists, dental leads from the health board, community pharmacists, pharmacy leads and optometrists.
Project support for the GP Fellows
Our team was commissioned to support GPs participating in the GP Fellows Scheme, focusing on enabling fellows to design and deliver impactful quality improvement (QI) projects within their practices. Over 18 months, we supported more than 30 GPs through all stages of their projects, including identifying priorities, planning interventions, implementation and evaluation.
Leadership development programme for PCN lead nurses
The contract was to design and deliver a confidence and self-awareness building leadership development programme for primary care network (PCN) lead nurses in the North West. The aim was to increase confidence and develop self-awareness. The programme comprised six sessions covering finding one’s voice, confidence, influencing skills, leading change and personal resilience.
Financial review of a GP practice
A practice had requested Section 96 funding from the commissioner. Contingent on the loan was the requirement that they allow a financial review to be undertaken. A comprehensive written report was provided covering both the financial position of the practice, the financial processes, and procedures.
