PCC supporting general practice – workforce

As we continue to highlight the ways that PCC is supporting general practice, today we are focussing on workforce.  We are aware that improving patient experience is a priority for practices and primary care networks this year, with there being incentives attached in the quality and outcomes framework and investment and impact fund, but what happens when things don’t go as planned?

Patient complaints, when handled badly, have a significant cost in terms of time, money to the staff dealing with them. It can also lead to a potential breakdown of relationships between the patient and individuals in the practice when the matter could have easily been remedied.  If you want to improve the chances of your team dealing with complaints in a positive way, we are running workshops to support them do just that.  The next sessions take place on the 16 and 18 April.
