NHS Networks is a free resource for anyone working in or with the health and care sector to use to share information, network with others and keep up to date with news.
NHS Networks enables the sharing of information, discussion forums, events and creation of virtual networks.
If you run or belong to a face to face group or communities of interest, why not create a virtual network on our site to accompany your face to face group. It will help keep the conversation going between meetings and it will give you somewhere to share resources and to communicate with your colleagues.
Networks can be as large or as small as you like and based on professional interests. You don’t need to have an NHS email address to register to the website or create a network. It’s quick and easy to do and it doesn’t cost a penny.

Here are some of the things NHS Networks lets you do:
Create a network – A network creation wizard enables a new network to be created within minutes. A network can be set as public or private. The administrator controls access to their network and membership criteria. The administrator controls what is published on the network and the content is visible only to members of that network. You can also have more than one administrator to share the workload.
Share resources – The network administrator can use simple templates to:
- Upload documents
- Create folders to store and organise your documents
- Forums – set up a discussion forum for members who can start their own conversations/discussion threads or respond to existing threads.
- News – administrators can publish news items including links
- Events – promote your group events
- Email alerts – Any content posted on a network generates an email alert to members. Members can control alerts through their account settings/notifications.
