Building collaboration across boundaries

When performance slips, systems revert to command-and-control — more escalation, more assurance, more defensiveness. This workshop offers insight to integrated care board (ICB) commissioners and provider commissioning hubs on a different approach of shared purpose, outcome focus and transparent delivery, allowing commissioners to become a “gardener leader” – creating the right conditions for change rather than demanding it. The session uses proven practice from systems thinking, objectives and key results (OKRs), and psychological safety.

At the end of the session participants will know how to:

  • Use data as insight to understand patterns and flow
  • Create and share knowledge that accelerates improvement across organisations
  • Use language that strengthens trust, challenge and accountability
  • Promote high accountability, with low fear

This is an introductory session with three further workshops within the programme. Each can be attended as a standalone workshop. A discount is applied for delegates booking all four workshops.

This three-hour workshop is aimed at ICB commissioners and provider commissioning hubs.
