Building trust, psychological safety and collaboration

In complex healthcare systems, leaders rarely deliver sustainable change through authority alone. Real success depends on their ability to create trust, encourage contribution and enable collaboration across professional, organisational and system boundaries.

Effective communication is one of the most powerful influences on organisational performance because it shapes how people interpret challenges, respond to uncertainty and work together towards shared goals. Through communication, leaders influence how people experience their environment, affecting levels of trust, engagement, psychological safety and ultimately their willingness to contribute, challenge and collaborate.

Drawing on organisational psychology, psychological safety research, and practical experience from NHS and international settings, this half-day workshop explores how leaders can adapt their communication to create the conditions in which collaboration, innovation and sustainable change can flourish.

Participants will leave with:

• Greater awareness of how their communication influences others.
• Practical tools to build trust and psychological safety.
• Increased confidence in leading conversations that support change.
• A better understanding of how communication can enable stronger collaboration across teams and organisations.

This workshop is part of a four session programme, but each can be attended as a standalone workshop. A discount is applied for delegates booking on all four workshops.
