Primary care dental contracts – contracting notices when things go wrong – Session two

Tuesday 23 June and Thursday 25 June 2026 (09.30-12.00)

NHS dentistry is an important primary care service. Commissioners must make the contractual arrangements so services can be made available to patients and appropriately manage them.

Unfortunately, during the lifetime of the contract commissioners will need to take contractual actions.

This training course, delivered over two sessions, will provide the detail on the types of notices that can be issued, looking at when these may be used and the processes that should be followed in issuing the notices.

The agenda covers:

• Breach notices
• Remedial notices
• Termination notices
• Contract sanction notices.

The training course will be led by one of our dental experts. Delegates will benefit most from this session where they fully participate in the questions, group exercises, and via interactive tools, taking the opportunities to discuss current issues and seek solutions with our expert and each other.

This session is for commissioners and those working on their behalf.

Following attendance on the course, the delegates will be able to confidently deal with the issuing and management of contract notices.
