Asset based approaches to working with people and communities

Tuesday 9 February 2027 (09.30-12.00)
Online training session

NHS England recently updated (May 26) it’s Working in partnership with people and communities: Statutory guidance which sets out that:

“The ambition is for health and care systems to build positive, trusted and enduring relationships with communities to improve services, support and outcomes for people.”

Using asset-based approaches to working with people and communities supports the building of productive relationships and has the potential to build resilient communities that can support wider NHS ambitions.

This workshop will:

  • Introduce the concept of Asset Based Community Development (ABCD)
  • Explore the benefits of ABCD
  • Explore the conditions for ensuring successful ABCD
  • Share a range of resources for you to continue your learning journey outside the session.

Each workshop can be attended as a standalone session or as part of a wider development programme.

Participants booking on all four workshops will be able to attend four for the price of three.
