Mike Nicklin

Mike is a highly experienced regional general manager/project director with a track record of improving either the commercial and/or operational performance of each organisation he has managed. Throughout his career Mike has looked to improve the quality and reduce the cost of the supply chain to enhance the performance of the companies. His experience includes working with Glebefields Health Centre, Portway Lifestyle Facility and more recently developing an outline business case for a significant project within Dudley. These facilities have been designed to enhance the delivery of health and social care facilities, within the community setting, by wrapping services around the GPs to deliver real operational efficiencies. Portway is noted as an exemplar facility by Sport England and was shortlisted at the partnerships awards for the best design.

Mike has worked with various providers to find estate solutions, focussing on improving the utilisation of the existing portfolio, where possible, to make sure solutions are as cost effective as possible. He co-authored an options appraisal to justify the continuation of a service at a key location and helped to develop a green plan to support the sustainability intentions of a trust.
