Support for your primary care network

Find out how we can help your PCN navigate the changes taking place in primary care.

PCN finance

It is essential that PCNs ensure that three key elements of financial management – namely cash flow, income and expenditure – are managed effectively. Does your PCN need a financial review to ensure everything that should be claimed is being claimed? Our experienced team is on hand to provide one to one support to PCNs to make sure they get the most out of the income available to them, whilst at the same time minimising expenditure. If you would like to find out more, contact enquiries@pcc-cic.org.uk.

The primary care voice

Primary care needs to effectively influence in the integrated care system. Have your primary care networks, member practices and other stakeholders agreed your priorities, and how they will be communicated? PCC offers facilitated sessions to support you to work through the priorities and how you can best communicate them with a unified voice. Contact enquiries@pcc-cic.org.uk to find out more.

Developing your ARRS strategy

PCC helped Hyndburn Central PCN to develop their ARRS strategy.

‘The ARRS session was a great opportunity for all PCN members to acknowledge their desire to work collaboratively in the most effective way to manage our populations needs, as well as our practice needs. We are extremely lucky to have such a high level of commitment and engagement from all member practices. It gave us a real opportunity to think outside the box and benefit from shared good practice from other areas. We are now in a strong position to take the next steps in planning our workforce.’
Dr Atkinson, lead GP from PWE Accrington Victoria

Leading your PCN

Leadership is a generic skill but clinical directors and others responsible for leading networks face particular challenges.

Our leadership training adapts classic management theory to the unique requirements of clinical directors and practice managers, enabling you to learn with and from your peers and to apply the learning from day one.

Annual contracts offer discounts on PCC support

Our popular annual contracts are available to PCNs. Agreeing an annual contract with PCC allows access to discounted support for the year ahead, whether that is accessing our workshops and e-learning, provision of tailored facilitated sessions for your PCN, or gaining access to our consultancy support. Contact enquiries@pcc-cic.org.uk to find out more.

Commissioning and the PCN DES

Our half-day introduction session for commissioning teams is aimed at providing an understanding of the requirements of the PCN DES and what effective delivery means for patients and providers. The session allows time for analysis and discussion on common (and not so common) commissioning issues to support effective decision making.
